Embark on an exhilarating journey with our Competitive Drones Teams, brought to you in collaboration with the Robotics Education Foundation. Join us as we delve into the dynamic world of drones using the innovative Co-Drone EDU platform.
Throughout the program, teams will master the art of drone flight, honing their skills in precision maneuvers and effective communication during blind flying scenarios. Additionally, participants will delve into the realm of programming, learning the versatile language of Python to command their drones with finesse and creativity.
Payment: The cost to participate on the team is $600 +taxes/fees and $135 per each additional child. This money can be paid in one payment or divided out
monthly, whatever is most convenient for your family. Scholarships are
available should you need support to participate in the program.
This fee does not cover the cost of travel to competitions.
Scholarships: Sweat equity scholarships entail supporting the team through volunteer activities such as Montezuma Ball, STEM Fair, or facility maintenance. Fundraising assistance, like seeking support from local businesses, is also encouraged. Please request scholarships HERE.
In addition, students and parents will be asked to participate in
fundraising activities to raise support for the entire program or to
assist the team in some volunteer position.
Schedule: Teams will meet Wednesdays 3:00-6:00pm. Additional times needed for Competitions TBD - We anticipate no more than one competition per month

Student Leadership Opportunities: The team is student-led. Therefore, students have the opportunity to take on leadership roles. We
strive to Be Greater Than Average which means we work hard at learning
more each day - sometimes that leads to trophies and wins while other
times it leads to failing forward and challenges. All of it builds
strong character and that, in this humble coach's opinion, is the most
important thing that we can teach any student.
