Registration for this schedule starts on 06/18/2026 and ends on 08/13/2026
Participants must be 8 years to 12 years old when the program starts.
About: The competitive teams will swiftly construct a VexIQ robot to begin practicing on the game field to develop competitive strategies. This is a full-year commitment. The primary learning approach will be hands-on, employing Engineering Design principles with mentor guidance. Team members will learn the game, its rules, maintain an Engineering Notebook, and adhere to competition etiquette.
For students new to robotics or those unable to attend competitions, we recommend participation in our classroom option, held Tuesdays from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. Details and registration for the classroom option can be found HERE.
When:
Payments: Payments can be paid in one payment or divided out monthly, whatever is most convenient for your family. Scholarships are available should you need support to participate in the program. If you prefer to pay in person, you can choose the Cash option at check-out time and pay with a Check or Cash in Person. All Checks should be made out to "R4Creating". This fee does not cover the cost of travel to competitions.
Scholarships: Sweat equity scholarships entail supporting the team through volunteer activities such as Montezuma Ball, STEM Fair, or facility maintenance. Fundraising assistance, like seeking support from local businesses, is also encouraged. Please request scholarships HERE.
In addition, students and parents will be asked to participate in fundraising activities to raise support for the entire program or to assist the team in some volunteer positions.
Program Benefits: We strive to Be Greater Than Average, fostering continuous learning and character development. Whether through victories or setbacks, every experience contributes to growth.
